Control Systems
First class heating and cooling equipment demand a first class control system. Energy consumption, ventilation air and redundant operation are all crucial components that factor in to the proper climate control system. It doesn't matter if your customers are students in a classroom, employees in an office, diners in a restaurant or delicate equipment in a telecommunication shelter: Your heating and cooling system is only as dependable as the control that regulates it.
Whether your looking for state-of-the-art control technology for your commercial and classroom applications, or the dependability mandated by the communication industry's rugged environmental control requirements, Bard has your control solution. For a more detailed explanation of the solutions outlined here, please refer to the corresponding specification sheets listed below.

CS2000 Energy Monitors |

|
The Bard CS2000 provides a complete energy monitoring system without user input or programming. Simple to operate, easy to install and economically priced, it provides a self-learning energy monitoring system that can save 15 to 25 percent on your unit operating costs. Designed for maximum savings, it provides automatic set-back and eliminates ventilation air while the area is unoccupied. In addition, it learns and remembers your schedule using artificial intelligence for enhanced performance.
- The CS2000 maximizes energy saving by reducing energy consumption while an area is unoccupied. Its built-in passive infrared detector continuously updates the CS2000 as to the presence or absence of people.
- The CS2000 actually learns and remembers the area's daily schedule. When an area is determined to be vacant, it automatically controls the temperature in the area to a level which conserves energy. In anticipation of occupancy, it returns control to the thermostat to resume normal occupied temperatures.
- Combined with a Bard air conditioner or heat pump, a ventilation package and standard thermostat, the CS2000 creates a total comfort system perfect for a variety of commercial and school applications.

TCS24 Climate Watch System |

|
The TCS24 is the most extensive control system offered by Bard. A direct digital control system controls the redundant operation of two Bard Wall-Mounts, remotely monitors shelter and equipment conditions (24 hours a day) and digitally controls the units based on user-defined control strategies. The complete "turn key" package of the TCS24, the Bard Climate Watch software, Bard Wall-Mount air conditioners and a special "V" control package mounted inside the air conditioner provide the telecommunications expert with a state-of-the-art environmental control system:
- Building points monitored remotely: Space temperature and humidity, outdoor temperature and humidity, fire alarm and trouble circuit, occupancy override, main power and door status (open or closed)
- Building points controlled remotely: Power transfer relay, shelter alarm circuit and heating and cooling
- Wall-Mount points monitored remotely: ("V" control package required) Indoor blower airflow, discharge air temperature, compressor current and dirty filter status.
- Wall-Mount points controlled remotely: Blower on/off, economizer on/off, compressor on/off, heating on/off
- Alarm points monitored remotely: Compressor failure, dirty filter, main power, fire alarm, High/Low temperature and humidity, blower failure and
open door.
- Lead/Lag Sequence: Adjustable form
24 to 168 hours in 12-hour increments.

MC3000 Series Master Controllers |

|
The MC3000 Advanced Solid State Lead/Lag Controller for use with two air conditioners or heat pumps. An important control feature missing from other controllers is the 2nd stage option for each air conditioner that permits and properly controls the economizer "free cooling" function. Three models allow the user to make selection based on alarm requirements.
- Three Models - (Base Model,
Base Alarm Model, and Enhanced Alarm Model)
- Field Upgradeable Option with
snap-in alarm boards
- Electronic Solid State
(non-mercury) design
- Lead/Lag change over periods:
0 to 30 days
- Compatible with or without economizers
- Dehumidification control option
- Heat Pump Compatible
- Tested to FCC and CE requirements
- EN50082-2 Standard for Immunity
- EN55011 Standard for Emissions

TEC40 Electronic Controller |

|
The TEC40 provides the redundant control of three or four Bard wall-mounts as a 1-stage system, or 2 air conditioners operating as a 2-stage system. The electronic controller features:
- Adjustable timer switches units
1, 3, 7, 14 or 24 days.
- 4 Stage Cool / 4 Stage Heat
electronic thermostat
- Dedicated terminals for a field supplied fire suppression system (de-energizes all air conditioners in the event of a fire.)
- LED lights indicate which unit
is operating
- Low voltage isolation circuit prevents feedback and phasing problems between all units
- Speed up jumper to test timer
between units.
